Seemingly lost and looking for direction, a solitary man peers into a thick coastal fog in Charleston Harbor. Luckily his wife was nearby pointing him the right way.

fantastic composition and mood
ReplyDeleteVery nice, like in autumn or winter.
ReplyDeleteDid you take it today?
Wonderful composition Doug. I do like the way the tree branches flow down from the top of the frame.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Doug!
ReplyDeleteWonderful compositon: the tree, bench, lamppost, and man all fit together very well with the fog, giving the scene a feeling of great loneliness and solitude.
ReplyDeleteWonderful b&w composition!
ReplyDeleteLéia
a reminder of fall or even winter, both in content and execution!
ReplyDeletearen't we lucky to always have someone around to tell us where to go and what to do ?!? ;-))
Interesting observation, and i like the mist !
ReplyDeleteconcerning yesterday's "mr. mallard" ... i regret to say that there's no mrs. mallard for him this spring! he's one of those males that apparently weren't attractive enough for the females, so he spends his time with another bachelor ... in the water or under the bridge !!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Doug.
ReplyDeleteEerie, image. Makes me think of an Edward Hopper painting. It makes me feel cold looking at it ( I think that's good!)
ReplyDeleteI like this shot, foggy days are so dangerous at sea.
ReplyDeleteGreetings.
looks very fascinating this photo, a bit mysterious
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteHa... He's looking for a new wife perhaps?
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Fog is magical.
ReplyDeletevery nice!
ReplyDeleteA photo that tells a thousand stories. :)
ReplyDelete...and three seconds later he fell of a cliff! I like the strong silhouetted shapes in a range of greys, and the dynamics of the graphics.
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful. Soft place and good story.
ReplyDeleteThe postprocessing is great.
Thanks for sharing, Doug.
What a mood. Makes me think at a Brasaï picture... Nice!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
That's what our wives do best. Love the great mood you captured here and the diagonal composition is so very pleasing.
