Cinderella Night

Like a scene in a fairy tale, these ornate carriages in the Main Market Square of Krakow seem poised to rescue Cinderella from a ball, and rush her away into the cover of night. But, as of yet, there is no hint of the glass slipper.
This plaza (Rynek Glowny) dates from the 13th century, and is Europe's largest medieval town square. Surrounding it are historic churches, palaces, and townhouses, which help create the charming atmosphere of an era long past. Shown above are the illuminated Gothic towers of Saint Mary's Basilica.

    Very nice photo taken from low angle in the nignt. My father made carriages like this one in the '60s - '70s.

    Perfect title and brilliant composition shot!
    In the first moment I thought it was Salzburg- Austria.I'm taking my notes,I want to visit Poland some day!

    I spent many days in Krakov in different periods and it is still one of my favorite cities. The Rynek is gorgeous and you made it shine!

    What a lovely night shot!
    It's super sharp!
    The Old Town of Cracow is stunning!
    When I was there, it was kinda misty. So the atmosphere was rather different to yours.
    By the way, did you get that Polska T-shirt from Cracow?
    Shocked you're not wearing a "I love SC" or "I love Pineapples" T-shirt! ;^)

    You got yourself a winner here, I was in Krakow in 1985 when it was behind the Iron Curtain...
    I loved the city.
