Twisted Trees

At the edge of the ocean, this glowing cluster of coastal live oaks twist and turn from the constant force of winds sweeping off the sea. Like durable trees on mountaintops, they are survivors.

    Magnificent picture Doug, I have a feeling the tree are posing like those girls for a kind of photo-shot session and the branches like their arms and hand in the hair, really doing a kind of pose! :)
    That's the feeling of art that I love so much, let us dream about!

    Beautiful shot! I love theses trees, we don't have them around here, I saw them last year in Chile and I was fascinated with their fantastic shapes, as if they were in movement.

    One of the nicest things about living by the sea is the sculptural shapes of the windblown trees. Yet these are quite diffrent, both in species, shape, and height. Fascinating to see.
