Charleston Maritime Center, Charleston, SC © Doug Hickok
A sail boat finds safe harbor at the Maritime Center. In the distance, illuminated by lights, is the Ravenel Bridge, stretching over the Cooper River. The night was quite dark, but a long exposure of 30 seconds brought out details I missed with the naked eye. You may have noticed the sail boat shows some soft blurring from the gentle rocking of the waves.

Wow. This is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI never ceased to be amazed how time exposures reveal all kinds of things that aren't apparent to the naked eye. This is a good example - and image.

Oh, this is beautiful, Doug! The cold colors in the distant, and the warm colors close. Very interesting composition to put the sailboat in front of the bridge. It works great and makes the picture interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe bridge is super sharp!
ReplyDeleteThe soft blurring gives the photo a sense of movement.
Excellent--very cool repeating elements with the mast/lines and the bridge in the background!
