Wood Nymph at Middleton

A tranquil atmosphere in the gardens at Middleton Place surrounds this wood nymph sculpture from the early 1800's.

    lovely and nicely detailed ... i can't believe it's MADE of wood, though ... i guess it's a wood nymph as opposed to, say, a water nymph ... ;-)
