Lone Tree, in the desert near Al Ain, UAE © Doug Hickok All Rights Reserved (Click on image for larger view)
It may be scraggly looking, but a solitary tree in the Arabian Desert somehow hangs on to its meager existence. In the hot, hazy background is the ridgeline of Jebel Hafeet, the highest mountain in a region that is predominantly vast expanses of sand dunes.

Magnificent Doug. I expect a giraffe to come loping in from the right.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about lonely trees... And this one has it ;)
ReplyDeleteA lost tree. How does it survive?

The solitary tree makes a strong statement. I like how the background is so support of the tee image.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful, Doug! And what is it about lonely trees? I love them!

Brave one!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Landscape photographers have an empathy for lone trees...probably because both survive well in a state of solitariness.
