Like a small gem offered up by the sea,
a beautiful sand dollar
 rests on a wave-patterned beach.

    Excellent contrast control to get the sand shapes and the sand dollar for initial place to focus. A very successful shot.

    Beautiful light! Out here the sand dollars don't have those holes in them. I"ll have to try for a photo of a "western" sand dollar when I'm at the coast next.

    Man made or natural? I'd guess the latter, but I haven't a clue. It looks wonderful against the sand ripples.
