A Folly Stonehenge

This "Stonehenge" on Folly Beach is nothing more than the rotting
remains of an old jetty. Despite man's best efforts, constant erosion
by wind and water whittle away the beaches. And yet, we continue
to be drawn to the magnificent, natural boarder of land and sea.

  3. I love the details in these objects. The untold stories from when these structures were active, or being built. Now these objects provide artistic subjects for painters and photographers...! Thanks for sharing this!

  9. Mother nature has created a magical effect. And I like how, as photographers, we are drawn to the effects of decay - and the way it contrasts with the lovely, present day beach scene.
