i really like winter shots like these.. not much when the snow's melting and turning to slush.. or the one that turns to ice where it gets really hard to travel..
Even the simplest things look great with your 'designer eye'. The pure white snow emphasises the colour of the timber seat as it's encompassed by the branches above. Really cool!
There is something regal about this solitary bench all alone covered in snow.
ReplyDeleteNow why does your snow look better than mine? :-)
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! I wouldn't want to be sitting out there. Quite a contrast to the weather we are receiving over here in Western Australia! Haha
ReplyDeleteOutstanding scenery,as you know I also love benches and this picture is very special! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm certainly happy that this lovely (but wintry) scene is not Charleston since we're leaving for your area in about a week.

Great winter still life! Love the framing and the reduced color palette.
ReplyDeletebeautiful winter landscape! the snow looks like white paint that has been spilled everywhere. and i bet there's a nice view from this bench ...
ReplyDeleteSo pure, D!
ReplyDeleteI don't dare to sit on it.
We walked a lot in that morning!
I'm sure you had more than just a doughnut when you got home. ;o)
marvelous. it looks like a brisk wind blew from the right.
ReplyDeleteLovely wintry scene...
ReplyDeleteLove how the snow turns the things into a different aspect. NIce capture.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.

ReplyDeleteThere's a loneliness about this little bench as it waits for warmer weather and, perhaps, visitors. Great eye Doug!
