Ashore

On this date you came ashore,
 beginning your journey in this wondrous world.
Although your ancestors came from islands afar,
from the Pearl of the Pacific,
 you have enjoyed in recent years a jewel of another sort
 here in the Lowcountry.
We wish you a day of happiness, dear friend, and many more...
