Blue Shutter and Shadow, Charleston, SC © Doug Hickok
Often times, a good stock image allows plenty of room for copywriting. For example, in this photo I left enough space in the upper right third of the frame for whatever a copywriter might want to say about Charleston and its unique charms.
But, I would probably write something silly and random, in the mode of a Shakespearian quote, such as... "There is either liquor in his pate or money in his purse when he looks so merrily."

Great quote:) and photo as well !
ReplyDeleteWhatever the copywriter had to say I doubt it would add much to your already-eloquent image.
ReplyDeleteNice shades of blue. I like the little iron work.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful layers of blue !
ReplyDeleteI dig it. Lovely shades of blue with just that hint of yellow at the bottom. Nice work. You have some beautiful photos here!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors and interesting shapes and textures, but I grin as I think of a copywriter saying "Come to Charleston and admire our peeling paint..."
ReplyDeletebeautiful image, enticing quote, inspired idea to leave background for copy, but i'm guessing the folks who are going to use this image might take a more prosaic approach.
ReplyDeletei like the blue tones ... nice job
ReplyDelete...and yet another semi-abstract master-piece. Gotta say Doug that your 'blue period' is definitely a sight for sore eyes and a triumph. Well done.
ReplyDeleteAnd a slightly early wish for a happy Easter to the Hickok family.
