Time Capsule

Gresham Mill, Canton, Georgia  © Doug Hickok

Gresham Mill, amid the suburbs of Atlanta, seems like a Depression era time capsule
preserved for modern eyes. Not far from a busy interstate highway, it is a reminder of who we once were, and how dramatically times have changed, even within recent memory.

  2. Love thewarm, nostalgic feel on this - even though I'm well aware of how hard times were back then.

4th attempt at proving I'm not a robot. Sooner or later I won't have that patience anymore!

  11. Excellent shot! It looks like a time capsule, just like you said. Nothing modern in the photo at all. Very nice. This would probably look great in a black and white version too.

  13. another 'time capsule', doug! even though i wouldn't want to live in circumstances like our forefathers (neither in austria nor in america!), it's good to see that places like this have been preserved and have been devoured by surburbia ...
hope you have a nice weekend !

  23. · Also here are time capsules. Back to the past is to know how much we have improved.I like your photo.

I see you have the word verification. It is annoying and serves no purpose. Perhaps you might consider removing it.

    · hugs
