Misty Monday - Ageless Shores

Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada  © Doug Hickok

Some places have a timeless feeling, a sense that little has changed since the dawn of the earth. W
hile walking along the stretch of ancient shore seen above, I had this feeling. The rocky coast of Campobello Island has an ageless spirit... the scene above could be from the present or from a million years ago, before the age of man.

"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
John Muir

  1. Very impressive. The kind of shot that makes you stare - and then stare again.

  3. It would be hard for me to leave this place. Maybe a blizzard would do the trick, lol!

Happy New Year (I know, I'm late!)

  4. The narrative is as inspiring as the photo. If cameras existed at the dawn of time somehow I suspect you might behind them.

  16. So true Doug. I had this experience many times over the Holidays as I walked about the rugged, pristine land around New Brunswick. I love your composition and the great emphasis on the ancient rocks. It rocks.
