The "Most Serene Republic" looks just that, serene, on a bright gem-like winter day. Perhaps Venice has seen more prosperous days, but in vivid light and glowing color, it is still a city of incomparable beauty.

my favorite city in the world.
ReplyDeleteone of my eternal love affairs - venice! only about 6 hours by car from where i live, or two and a half from where we go skiing every year (the italian dolomites). it is such a wonderfully unique place that not even las vegas could do damage to it ... ;-))
