Cruising into Charleston

Cruise Ship and Ducks, Charleston Harbor, Charleston, SC  © Doug Hickok

There are many ways to travel to Charleston.
You can drive a car over the Ravenel Bridge.
You can ride a cruise ship into harbor.
Or you can swim, like this duo of dainty ducks.
Which ever way you choose,
you'll have fun cruising'.

  1. Wow, what a big ship! Perfect composition, I like the colors and the birds in the water.

  2. Colours, composition, subject matter, all superb. Have a great weekend!

  3. WEll, as I don't know how to swim I think crusing is my option! LOL
    Wonderful picture!

  4. That's a superb composition (lights, colours, objects...)
I wish you an excellent weekend :-)

  5. Wouldn't it be great fun to paddle like a duck? What warm colors you've captured here...even the blues feel warm.

  6. The hues are so relaxing to the eye............................
I think I fell asleep for a moment.
Thanks for the nap. I needed that.

  7. very original and appealing compo, with the ducks "crossing" the path of the giant cruise ship! i also like the attractive span of the bridge and the very pleasant hues of the sky.

  8. Awesome, the huge ship, the two ducks, the bridge in the background, there's so much to look at in this picture.

  9. I like this pink and soft sunset. The bridge in the background is magnificent.

  10. I think I am going to swim across the Atlantic! Ha ha!
I've seen QE2 in Southampton before - that's a super huge cruise ship!
But I don't think she goes to Charleston, D.
    Hence, I gotta swim! Ha...

  11. LOVE cruising on RC in the Caribbean. When it's hot, hot, hot!

  12. beautiful! wonderful scene and colors.

  13. hehe, fantastic capture, love the juxtaposition of the tiny birds and the giant cruiser

  14. Lovely serene natural scene juxtaposed with massive human structures. Great shot!
