I learn something new with each of your photos Doug. For me the this image has three strengths. (1) perspective with a stron foreground with the lines of the branches carrying the eye into the photo (2) the composition, particularly the variety od foliage in the foreground & (3) colour, a wonderful blend of complimentary golds, browns& greens. Bravo Doug.
awesome shapes of the limbs of this giant tree, again in a very lush and attractive setting.
(as to mushrooms and poppies ... in the past, mothers used to give their babies poppyseed capsules as pacifiers so they would keep still while the mothers were working ... can you imagine the number of severely handicapped people this produced?!? luckily, this is no longer done, of course; today poppyseed is used only for culinary purposes ;-)
Magnificent tree and very well captured!
