Cave Art?

Rocky Outcrop in a Road Cut, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina

A quartzite vein in exposed metamorphic rock
reminds me of a prehistoric cave painting.

  1. I can definitely see the beginnings of a horse in the rock. It sort of trails off in the hind quarters. Perhaps Mr Caveman had a bit too much of the fermented grapes to get the artwork quite right.

  2. Great textures, whatever you see. I'd shoot as many images as possible.

  9. Wow, so cool. Looks like a satellite view of sedimentation around a river delta to me. Any way you slice it it's cool!
