How often has nature been a model for human endeavor? When prehistoric peoples first watched dolphins plying the freedom of ancient seas, it no doubt inspired them to one day do the same. We have progressed far since that time.

It's really beautiful. The blue is clear. :)
ReplyDeletefantastic capture!
ReplyDeleteI am concerned that these huge ships, bigger and bigger, invade rivers such as those that can be seen in recent years in Venice. I hope that here the river can absorb the enormity. But I like your beautiful composition with the delphin perfectly captured.
ReplyDeleteVery good capture shot!
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant, Doug.
ReplyDeleteinteresting juxtaposition. the question is, though, if cruise liner are really that much of an improvement ... ;-))
ReplyDeleteAnother great picture, Doug!! To even capture the elusive dolphin at ALL is hard for me....mine all end up looking like blurs!--ha ha LOL Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour narrative fits your photo perfectly. Definitely in the right place at the right time....and ready.
ReplyDeletethat is one big boat!! i love the dolphin. i have rarely seen dolphins in isolation
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic shot. A postcard. The light is perfect and the dolphin is the finishing touch. I'd guess you'll sell this one!
ReplyDeleteRight time, right place, wonderful words.
ReplyDeleteGreat timing nabbed you a really fun image Doug--very cool! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow what a capture - the similarities in the evolutionary design of the dolphin and that of the cruise ship come across superbly.
ReplyDeleteNIce scene; nature always inspirates humans, but often they forget it!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
This kind of sea monster are not my favourite. I would prefer an old vessel or a small yacht.
ReplyDeletegreat catch! :) imagine their surprise if they were ever to know what we are capable of building now.. heck, i imagine even more extravagant things being made 10s or 100s of years from now.. ;D
