In the Hill Country outside of Austin, endless fields of fiery hued wildflowers burst with bloom, presenting a dazzling display.

  1. Wonderful photo Doug. The seemingly endless sea of yellow flowers punctuated by the orange. The trees provide perspective and interest. A scene which would be hard to tire of.

    1. The image: A wonderful shot of nature's beauty and colour, nicely offset by the strongly textured tree trunk.
    2. The Blog: A brilliant new approach and a layout that works intuitively, one of the best I've seen.

    I know these flowers originate in North America but I saw them only in the gardens here, as cultivated flowers.
