Magnolia Gardens (seen in the previous post) features wild informal gardens.
Its neighbor down the river, at Middleton Place, features well tended and groomed formal gardens. Either way, you will find green,
even in the depths of our winters.

It is certainly formal and definitely green Doug. I like the distance and the clarity you have achieved. Do you use a high aperture number for shots like this?
ReplyDeleteDotting their i's and crossing their t's, I see. It does make for some perfection, Doug. But then, swinging in the bamboo trees and throwing daggers might be fun every once in awhile. :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful French garden, I would :)
ReplyDeleteNice photo.
So neat and clean! A very nice pattern. I like its geometry.
ReplyDeleteSo cute garden in green mood, your picture is beautiful, I also like the trees and so adorable blue sky!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Léia
Nice topiary - and I'm not convinced that you have a real "winter", anyway, have a nice, summery weekend.
ReplyDeleteVery nice framing for this beautiful garden.
ReplyDeletelove the angle and perspective in your capture, doug, and of course these vivid tones of green .... i can only wish our grey-brown-yechhhh coloured fields and meadows would begin to show some green too!
ReplyDeletebtw, it's hard to resist the charm of a formal garden, i think, considering how much labour and sweat are involved to keep it up ...
I certainly prefer the wild informal gardens over this perfectly trimmed park. However, you skilfully capture the positive aspects of this formal gardening style very well. Composition and tones of your photo are perfect!
ReplyDeletevery nice graphics!
ReplyDeleteLove the clean green
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day to take my silly yak out to graze! ;o)

So refreshing. Happy weekend! :)
