Rainbow Row in Spring is an iconic setting in Charleston.

Many of these row houses date to the 1700s and have witnessed many ups and downs in the city's fascinating history...
 from bustling colonial port to
the devastation of the Civil War to
a present day world class tourist destination.

  4. The colors here are beautiful and warm and bright as the sun in the evening. Charleston will always remain in my mind, as the birthplace of the hero created by Margaret Mitchell to embody Rett Butler in Gone with the wind

  16. With the dismal winters that we get in Ireland, we need colour, so it's interesting that the inhabitants of those old Charleston houses appear to have similar colour tastes to the owners of similarly aged houses on this side of the pond.

Lovely shot - and the houses seem to shimmer in the dusk light.
