Water & Earth

Gate Ironwork and Brick, Dock Street Theatre, Charleston, SC  © Doug Hickok

Ironwork rolls in aqua circles, like sea waves over the terra cotta bricks of a theatre wall.

  1. Fine ironwork. It remembers me to the ironwork of Chain Bridge in Budapest.
I like the composition, nice photo.

  6. How many things in this beautiful image! We have some nice ironwork painted with exactly the same color, but our brickwork is usually in what is called stretcher or running bond. Yours seems to be in the more solid American bond.
