One year ago today, Charleston awoke to a rare winter beauty, a snowy lowcountry landscape. It lasted only half a day, after which the sun came out and quickly melted the snow. What a surreal morning it was!

  8. Before 2009, snow was very rare in London too.
Since 2009, we tend to get more serious snow fall!?!

    Global warming?!

  13. I lived in a part of our country where it also snow only every long while :-) Then one Sunday afternoon, down came the snow - the fall lasted about an hour and a half. What I will not forget was the immense silence directly after the snow fell, lasting about 20 mins before the children went crazy in the neighbourhood. Pity one can't capture the silence on film.
