Friday's Folly

A jetty at Folly Beach, SC  © Doug Hickok

Frankly, on this fine Friday, we're foraging for fun and folly.

Finally, felicitations to our fabulous friends Sarah and Rob on becoming fiances!

  4. Even fun and folly are what you sought, I think you found them in this fine shot. What's a "finance"?

  5. the sparkling sunlight and the dark wood work well in monochrome, and the perspective - leading you to the end of the jetty - is very inviting!

  6. A beautyful but also a little horrific picture. The view together with the extensive blackness gives me associations to the 50's horror movies by Alfred Hitchcock... or maybe Ingmar Bergman (Swedish filmmaker).
A great picture it is, however!

Great pic - the long lead in and perspective really appeals.

  12. Excellent contrast -- I like the thin layer of water on the jetty and the reflection it provides. Great alliteration too!
