Our Winter Wonderland?

Tidal Marsh, John's Island, SC  © Doug Hickok

The russet hues of winter suffuse our Lowcountry tidelands. We don't usually have snow, but we see a lot of this along the coast.

  1. Lovely tones. I like the way the trees in the background just fade away gently in the middle.

  7. a very fine image with a special atmosphere given by this very warm colour and the mist in the distance. The curve of the pond in the middle makes the necessary difference.

    Best greetings,
    d.

  13. Hello Doug, you have a wonderful site here! Thanks so much for stopping by my AM3 page and posting a comment. SC looks like a beautiful place that I need to put on my bucketlist of places to see. I also have another website if you are interested. marionniewaldphotography.shutterfly.com
I am just starting out taking photography to the next level and try to learn as much as possible. If you have any suggestions for me, I would love to hear them - if you have the time and desire to give them. Cincy is cold and gray right now with a bit of snow. I am aching for sunshine and blue sky and birds that sing. :) Have a wonderful day, Greeting, Marion
