Old Red Truck, Danny's Classic Cars, Elko, South Carolina © Doug Hickok (Click on image for larger view.) I had braces... both of my kids had braces... if only our "grills" looked this cool! Keeping-up with a new tradition begun here at Doug's Photo Blog, I will end today's post with a photography link for your weekend enjoyment... Great images are often a matter of being in the right place, at the right time and/or having a creative mind. |
After seeeing the annimated movie "Cars" I have delighted in imagining these vehicles as being alive, Doug! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd what a fabluous colection of images at your Smithsonian link...so very inspiring! Thank you.

ReplyDeleteTrust me, you don't want your braces to look like this!

Great caption for the old red truck. I have bad memories about braces for my family...long, boring and expensive story. Went to the link...amazing and fascinating photos. Like so many of them.
ReplyDeletei love the toothy grills of certain cars. good capture, doug. we'll be staying on George Street at the Barksdale House Inn unless you have a compelling reason for us not to.

Terrific! Wonderful find and capture!
ReplyDeleteSuper "old car" shot. Danny's looks like a place to visit. And thanks for the link to the Smithonian site. There are some excellent images there. But being in the right place isn't all there is. I have a quote on my wall from Ansel Adams: "Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have someone click the shutter." As if scouting, planning, metering dozens of spots and hours of post-production have nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteand a metal grin :)
ReplyDeleteNice caption for the cool image.
