I had braces... both of my kids had braces... if only our "grills" looked this cool!

    After seeeing the annimated movie "Cars" I have delighted in imagining these vehicles as being alive, Doug! :)

    Great caption for the old red truck. I have bad memories about braces for my family...long, boring and expensive story. Went to the link...amazing and fascinating photos. Like so many of them.

    i love the toothy grills of certain cars. good capture, doug. we'll be staying on George Street at the Barksdale House Inn unless you have a compelling reason for us not to.

    Super "old car" shot. Danny's looks like a place to visit. And thanks for the link to the Smithonian site. There are some excellent images there. But being in the right place isn't all there is. I have a quote on my wall from Ansel Adams: "Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have someone click the shutter." As if scouting, planning, metering dozens of spots and hours of post-production have nothing to do with it.
