Main Square, Old Town, Krakow, Poland © Doug Hickok (Velvia slide film. Click on image for larger view)
... lonely as a cloud, That floats on high o'er Krakow square, When all at once I saw a truck, a beacon, of bright red paint; Beside the umbrellas, beneath the trees, flashing and gleaming in the summer heat.
And even though this poem doesn't rhyme, I don't mind, 'cause I made a picture, Worth more than words.

It's like the opposite of a rain cloud following you around. It's such a cheery photo. It seems like that puffy little white cloud follows the red truck around, painting sunshine :)
ReplyDeleteHow bright and beautiful buildings. I like them.

ReplyDeleteRight spot at the right time! Great capture Doug. Love the vibrancy and glad that you were ready to catch red truck in the composition.
ReplyDeleteHey Doug, those words Fuji Velvia just came back from the mists of time. The last roll I bought was in a dingy upper flat masquerading as a "shop" in Bulgaria (the "shop" was contained in a single large cardboard box at the bottom of a cupboard).
ReplyDeleteFantastic to see these vibrant real life colours again!
i love that square

Like a photographer, a poet can survive everything but a misprint..a misquotation by Oscar Wilde!
