On a moody and mysterious morning,
I happened upon the rare and elusive
 yodeling pelican singing its haunting
 song into a thick veil of mist.

The Spoleto Festival in Charleston is America's
 premier performing arts festival.
If you're curious about the cover, it's a
palmetto frond, from South Carolina's state tree.

Another round of pictures taken last week
 of Charleston's historic snowfall.
Today was much warmer so the ice and snow
 are finally beginning to melt away.

Yesterday Charleston had an historic snowfall.
Many roads and bridges were closed due to ice
 and heavy snow. So I took a walk in a park,
with my camera of course.
Our local park is suburban, but quite wild.
