As dawn unfolds on Waterrock Knob, the branches of a conifer reach out for the light, creating a strong graphic silhouette. At an elevation of 6,293 feet, Waterrock Knob is an ideal place along the Blue Ridge Parkway for watching sunrises and sunsets, and also excellent for star gazing on clear nights.
